What’s up bosses?
After another lockdown weekend which does not look that much different from a weekday we are ready for a new week! In today’s article, I want to talk about a very relevant matter which is job seeking. If looking for a job regularly is difficult during a global pandemic where the whole planet is on hold wondering what is going to happen it gets even tougher.
Working online is the new future, however, if you are someone that doesn’t even know what online working or smart working you are probably wondering….
Well, keep reading as I am sharing some options for you!
in this article, I will cover
With people worldwide currently on furlough with an uncertain future or even worst people already made redounded the economic picture looks very scary.
Unfortunately, as much as we are trying to avoid, or try not to think about it, life and work as we knew it will very unlikely come back to the way, it used to be and maintaining social distancing as well wearing face masks will not be the only things we have to get used to.
Smart working became the new normal and in my opinion, anticipated the change in the work culture. What was going to happen gradually in the next 10 years like the smart working of most of the economy moved online literally happened in 5 months living lots of people wondering how they will adapt to the revolution that signed the beginning of this new decade.
The first thing I want you to take into consideration when it comes to the online job is that very often this is a whole career change, and this often leads to hypostome syndrome and that’s normal. it’s really easy to find ourselves stuck into this mindset but what you have to think about that everybody started somewhere and often what you haven’t considered as an option could turn into something wonderful.
ok let’s be clear i am not here to tell you that everyone needs to work online and that is the best option ever! Online jobs are not better or worst they are just slightly different than what you might be used to and whether you like it or not only time will tell.
My only suggestion is to not make the same mistake at the beginning, don’t close that door before you gave it a try! When I started working online i was in the mindset that this wasn’t for me and I would not enjoy it. Not only i found myself wrong, i also embraced so much more skills that i thought i have which ended up becoming services that included on my offer.
Ok without further dos let’s dive in.
10 well-paid jobs you can start now
1. Virtual Assistant
If you are someone that has a gift for scheduling, planning, organizing or these are some of the tasks you were in charge of your previous role this could be a great option for you. you can work for anyone from anywhere and the average salary goes from 15 to 20 pounds per hour.
The functions of a virtual assistant can range from simple tasks like data entry or transcribing conversations to more complex web research and analysis, lead generation, Photoshop edits, travel planning, in-depth LinkedIn search, and accounting.
What’s the secret? don’t just stick to your responsibility in your previous role but start to list what you can actually do as a skill even if that wasn’t part of your previous role. For instance, if you are great writing or social media that is a skill as lots of VAs get paid to write content online actually are in charge of posting on Instagram and Facebook in behalf of their clients The wider your skillset and the better your reviews, the more likely you are to make a living from this type of online work.
2. Social Media Manager
As listed above the management of social media platforms sometimes is part of the requirement of a Virtual Assistant especially if you are dealing with small businesses. However, as there are quite a lot of skills involved in this role ( not only posting) is often researched separately.

5. Customer Support Representative
If you that has been working in a store or in sales in general that’s a great option to continue using your skill set in the best possible way.
Many companies are looking to outsource customer support — especially if their client base is global and they cannot provide round the clock support with their own team.
Think about it this way, every business has customers and they all need support. If you are into helping people or would like to build experience in this area, offering your services on freelancer platforms is a good place to start.
Email, social media and chat support as well as lead generation are the most common tasks of an outsourced customer service representative.
However, the wider the range of services you offer, the higher your chance of getting hired. For example, you can add data entry jobs, social media management, report preparation and other responsibilities to your resume.
Another idea? You can work as a mystery shopper evaluating the customer service quality of other online shops and websites. Mind that to have this as a serious online work, you’ll need to do quite a bit of mystery shopping.
6. Copywriter, translator or proofreader
Now this specific job is often underestimated. Writing is a huge part of the business and whether someone is selling skincare or pens everybody needs a sales page. Writing content online that converts into leads and sales is a huge talent and if you been working in customer service, training and development or management writing is definitely part of your skills for sure you just haven’t thought about it.
I personally love writing and i think no matter how good your products is, if you message and your communication is not clear the conversion in sales will be very difficult.
Many people are not skilled in crafting sales messages, comprehensive descriptions, or even social media posts. There’s a large audience happy to outsource such tasks.
Similarly, many entrepreneurs write their own website texts or blog articles that just need editing and proofreading, or translation for other markets. All you need to do to capture that clientele is offer them your skills and experience.
State your areas of expertise in your resume and share examples of your work, start writing on your own blog or as guest in someone else blog that of the niche you would like to talk to. This way you’ll stand out from the competition.
For instance, if you been working in sales in the cosmetic industry and you gained knowledge about product formulation you can write articles for different blogs sharing your expertise and then work as a content writer or copywriter for a cosmetic company.
as mentioned above blogging is a great way to get your content seen. Especially if your goal is to be seen as an expert in your industry having a blog where people can read and find value on your knowledge is a great way to improve your social proof and also is like having a constant resume online updated with your skillset.
The most significant benefit of blogging is that you don’t need any budget to start it — only good writing skills and expertise in a niche topic or some sort of unique experience. Especially during the lockdown, this is a great way to invest your time. Lots of people are focus on the modern youtube and Instagram strategy but one of the best evergreen ways to start an influence online is to start with a blog.

8. Affiliate Marketer
I know what you thinking.
“How am I going to pay my bills just by referral codes?”
I’d be honest if you are someone starting from scratches online this option is not be considered as the first step towards a career change. However, this doesn’t mean this cannot become another source of income over time. If you are someone specialize in a certain industry and you use Affiliate marketing as a way to recommend something truly valuable and useful to your clients and online community then why not?
Just in case you have not got your head around this before Affiliate marketing is the process of helping another website to sell their products or services via special affiliate links. When you sign up for a company’s affiliate platform, you’ll receive your unique link or links, that will earn you a commission every time a user clicks on them (or buys something after clicking).
how would that work into practice?
For instance, if you are a graphic design and you offer services as of photo editing that requires subscriptions you could partner with a company such as Adobe or Canva and get a commission every-time you recommend their services to your clients and they decide to make a purchase.
This strategy works super well on Youtube videos, Facebook groups, Instagram, blogs
